antique woodworking tools ottawa, then it’s hard wired, find the disconnectswitch or the breaker and turn off the power to the range. our next step would be to remove any racksthat are in your way of removing the element, just slide those out and set them aside, nextwe’ll locate the two â¼â€ hex set screws

that secure the element to the back of theoven cavity. our next step will be to slide the elementforward carefully, as we will be pulling two wires through the small holes at the rearof the oven cavity, make sure that they don’t catch, bend the wire over so that they don’tretract through the hole, and remove your old element. next we’ll look at the wire terminals, makesure that they are not arced or burnt, before we reinstall them, make sure that they fitnice and snug, if they don’t, take your needle nose pliers, and crimp them a littletighter. now slide the element back to the rear ofthe oven, then we’ll reinstall the two â¼â€
